Are your projects piling up, do you need to get away for a couple of days to get those done? Come to Queens Rustic Retreat for our Retreat on a Whim. We are offering a discounted price. May 3rd through May 6th with lunch only for $80 per night . If you would like to sew for the day its $45 per day and would include lunch. Day retreat hours are from 9am to 5:30pm. Fill out a reservation form from the link above and please let us know if you are spending the night or coming for the day. We need at least 8 people so bring a friend.

Stripology Mixology Retreat

July 19th Through July 21st

We are super excited to be offering this retreat in July. Dawn Larson will be our teacher and she is experienced in teaching the many uses for the Creative Grids Stripology ruler. You will learn how many options this ruler offers and how easy it is to use and assist you with more accurate cuts. Arrival date is July 19th and departure date is July 21st. Lunch and Dinner will be provided.

The book we will be working from is the Stripology Mixology by GE designs . The project is Sandy on pages 14-17.  The pattern suggests that precuts can be used.  However, to fully experience the Stripology ruler, we suggest yardage.  This will give more opportunity to increase your comfort level with the ruler.  We will have a sample

Supplies needed for the retreat and project:

Sewing machine, thread, scissors, seam ripper, fabric marking device, rotary cutter with new blade

Stripology Mixology Book

Suggested:  GEasy ruler stickers or 1/4" tape

Fabric Requirements:

6 coordinating fabrics - 1/3 yard each

Background fabric and first border - 2 1/3 yards

Outside Border -  If making a 5 1/2" border - 1 1/2yards,  if making a 7 1/2" border - 2 yards

All supplies will be available at Fiberworx Fabric Studio, and Queens Retreaters get a discount.

Cost for the retreat is $265 for those spending the night and $175 for those doing a day retreat. All day retreaters will begin at 9am until 5:30pm and lunch is included. Please indicate if you are doing an overnight or day retreat. Cost includes meals and instructor fee.

For the mixology part you can bring your own adult beverage. We have a wine fridge and a margarita machine.

Barn Quilt Class August 9th 2024

Come join us for a day of painting fun at Queens Rustic Retreat. Valerie Steele is our instructor and she does a great job in getting the creative juices going. The class starts at 10am and ends at 4pm. The cost of the class is $130 and includes instructor fees, all supplies for your Barn Block and lunch. Make your reservation today, this class always sells out.
